On my own journey, I began to understand that the menstrual cycle was not a background event. It was a source of information—one I had never really been taught how to read.

Discovering body literacy

Body literacy is the practice of recognising and interpreting the signs your body offers. It is not only about identifying fertile days; it can also build familiarity and confidence around your individual cycle.

Your cycle is not an average

Not everyone ovulates on day 14, and signs can vary from cycle to cycle. Inside Module 4, our conversation with Malin Söderberg introduces fertility-awareness methods and the value of observing your own patterns.

Two signs commonly observed

  • Cervical mucus: before ovulation, it often becomes clearer, stretchier and more abundant.
  • Basal body temperature: a sustained rise can help confirm that ovulation has already occurred.

These observations require learning and consistency. They are educational tools, not contraception or a diagnosis. Speak with a qualified professional when you need individual guidance.
