The Storka preconception wellness programme

Prepare consciously for pregnancy—before you begin trying.

A nine-week programme combining science-backed education, perspectives from eight field-specific experts and practical tools for women, men and couples who want to prepare consciously—in body, mind and relationship.

Understand women’s and men’s preconception health and wellbeingExplore the what, why and how behind the choices within your influenceLearn gently through bite-sized lessons—individually or together

A conscious beginning

Preconception is not a waiting room.

The months before trying are a meaningful stage in their own right—a time to learn about your body, support your health and wellbeing, explore your inner readiness and, where relevant, prepare together as a couple.

Yet guidance often begins only after pregnancy or when difficulties arise. Responsibility is also still placed disproportionately on women, while men remain at the edge of the conversation.

Storka offers a different approach: nine weeks of structured, science-backed learning, practical tools and reflection to help you prepare before you try—not because every outcome can be controlled, but because conscious preparation matters.

Who it is for

Storka is for you if you want to prepare consciously before you try.

Shared preparation

Preconception is not only a woman’s responsibility.

Inside Storka, you will explore:

  • how sperm develops and its role before conception
  • how health, lifestyle and environmental exposures may affect male reproductive wellbeing
  • practical ways each partner can prepare—individually and together

Both partners matter—emotionally, relationally and biologically.

Men are not bystanders whose only role is to support their female partner. Sperm contributes half of the genetic material at conception, and male health, lifestyle and exposures are part of the preconception picture.

Storka gives men a clear, active place in preparation while helping couples build shared understanding, communicate about their expectations and prepare for parenthood together. The programme can also be followed individually.

Our story

Storka began with our own preparation for parenthood.

As we prepared for our first child, we found a great deal of scattered—and often conflicting—advice. What we could not find was one thoughtful place that brought together science, everyday choices, inner readiness, relationship wellbeing and the active role of both partners.

Together with specialists from different fields, we created the programme we had been looking for.

In 2022, we welcomed our first daughter. After her birth, we allowed time for postpartum nourishment and recovery, for becoming parents, and for tending to ourselves and our relationship.

When we later felt ready to grow our family, we entered a deliberate period of preconception preparation. We put everything we teach in Storka into practice in ways that fitted our own lives—from mindset, nutrition and fertility awareness to sleep, stress, movement, the microbiome, environmental exposures and preparing together.

Our next pregnancy brought the unexpected joy of twin girls, and our family grew to three daughters.

We do not believe that preparation controls conception or pregnancy. What it gave us was a more informed, connected and intentional way to enter the journey.

Today, one of our greatest rewards is seeing Storka offer that same clarity and steadiness to other women, men and couples.

This is not simply a programme we created. It is an approach we have lived.

Rooted here. Made for everywhere.

Scandinavian clarity, thoughtful science and human care.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does Storka mean by conscious conception?

Conscious conception means approaching the transition into pregnancy and parenthood with awareness, intention and care. It is not about controlling an outcome or preparing perfectly; it is about understanding what is within your influence and making choices that feel supportive to you.

How do I know if Storka’s preconception programme is for me/us?

Storka is for women, men and couples who want to prepare before they begin trying for a baby. It may be right for you if you want science-backed education alongside space for emotional, relational and practical reflection.

When should we begin our preconception journey if we're planning to conceive within the next year?

The months before trying are a meaningful window for preparation. You can begin whenever you feel ready; allowing several months gives you time to learn, reflect and introduce changes gradually.

Is Storka's programme suitable if I'm/we're considering assisted reproductive technology like IVF?

Yes. Conscious preconception preparation can sit alongside different paths to pregnancy, including assisted reproductive technology. The programme is educational and does not replace individual advice from your fertility clinic or medical team.

Can I join the programme at any point?

Yes. The programme is self-paced and you can begin when the timing feels right for you. Introduction and Preconception Mindset unlock immediately, followed by one new module each week.

What's the structure of the programme?

Storka contains ten modules released over nine weeks, with more than 100 bite-sized lessons, eight expert interviews, guided practices, reflections, couple exercises, handouts, summaries and supporting sources.

How much time do I need to dedicate to Storka each week?

Each module has between 7 and 20 lessons, which amounts to about 1–1.5 hours of watch time each week. Most lessons take between three and seven minutes, and you can move through each week at your own pace and choose how much time to give the reflections and practical exercises.

Can we embark on the Storka programme as a couple?

Absolutely. Storka gives both partners an active place in preparation. You can watch lessons together, use the couple exercises to start conversations, or move through parts individually and reconnect afterwards.

What if my partner is hesitant about joining the programme?

You are welcome to begin individually. The learning and reflections can still support your own wellbeing, and your partner can engage with selected lessons or exercises if and when they feel ready.

Does Storka’s programme replace seeing my medical doctor or other medical care?

No. Storka is an educational wellness programme and is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Continue to consult your doctor, midwife or other qualified healthcare professional about your individual circumstances.

I have known conditions that affect my fertility, can Storka still help me?

The programme can support broader physical, emotional and relational wellbeing, but it does not treat fertility conditions. Please work with your medical or fertility team and use Storka as complementary education where appropriate.

Do you have a refund policy?

Please review the terms of use for the current purchase and refund conditions. If you are unsure whether the programme is right for you, contact Storka before enrolling.
